Kargin Keyboard ("App", "we", "us") is an Armenian keyboard for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what the App and its keyboard extension store, what leaves your device and why.
The following is stored only on your device, in the App's own storage, and is never sent to us:
Text typed in password, one-time-code, card and user-name fields is never learned or stored.
Full Access is optional. Typing, predictions and automatic punctuation work without it. With Full Access the keyboard can use the clipboard (history, paste, copying stickers), play sounds and haptics, and share what it learns with the App on the same device. Full Access is not used to send what you type anywhere, except for the research sharing described in section 5, which needs your separate consent.
Dictation runs on your device with a speech model included in the App. The microphone is used only while you dictate, after you tap the microphone button. Your voice is not recorded or sent to us. If you enter your own transcription server address in Settings, audio you dictate is sent to that server, which you choose and control.
To improve the keyboard's dictionary and predictions and to study how Armenian is written today, the App asks once whether you want to share anonymous typing counts. It is off unless you choose to share, and it is never asked of users under 16.
If you agree, the App sends, from time to time:
Before anything is counted, names are replaced with a placeholder, numbers are removed, and any sentence with Latin letters, e-mail addresses, links or other scripts is dropped. Nothing is collected from sensitive fields or template fields. Uploads carry no account, device or install identifier, and our server does not log your IP address, so what we receive cannot be linked to you or to other uploads from the same device.
You can stop sharing in Settings › Language Research. Turning it off also deletes anything not yet sent.
The App includes Firebase Core by Google to configure Firebase services. The App does not use Firebase Analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs, and does not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. See Firebase privacy information.
The App does not track you across apps or websites and does not use the advertising identifier.
On-device data stays until you delete it in the App's settings or delete the App. Anonymous research counts we received cannot be traced back to you, so they cannot be found or deleted per person.
The App does not ask for personal information. Research sharing is not offered to users who said they are under 16.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to its processing. Because we hold no data that identifies you, most of this is done in the App itself. We do not sell personal information.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes to what is shared will be asked for again in the App.
